Case Study: InRhythm Pods
The Client
Our client, an American multinational financial services corporation known for its credit cards, travelers cheques, corporate banking and insurance products, was looking to diversify and develop a focus on new product lines.
The Opportunity
They identified small business lending (non-card lending) as their next product opportunity, and wanted to incorporate technology that could support any new product or innovation without having to rebuild each time and integrate with legacy code. They needed a platform that would be able to support heavy loads and be incredibly secure.
This top national financial brand turned to InRhythm to help architect and engineer a central platform to power all non-card lending. The platform had to support multiple internal products as well as integrate with legacy code, Quickbooks, and other third party business partner systems. The client was also looking to ensure the platform would mitigate risk and manage compliance by integrating predictive models and algorithms.
The InRhythm Impact
InRhythm created a high-velocity engineering team of eight and embedded them on-site at the client’s location to help design and engineer an MVP (minimum viable product) and modernize their platform based on high-velocity. The team designed optimal, high-impact customer journeys using a high-velocity technology stack that included AngularJS, NodeJS, and Java. Additionally, the team contributed thought leadership in microservices, cloud architecture, and rapid single-page application development using Agile best practices as well as provided ongoing mentoring and coaching for unmatched team performance.
InRhythm and the client met the release date ahead of schedule completing the first ‘Tier 1’ product launch in over 4.5 years, forecasting large loan volume with 400,000 small businesses and 70,000 larger businesses. Our team of engineers were awarded the Highest Agile Performing Team by the Delivery Transformation Council, as they delivered 90% more feature work than any other team. InRhythm’s team of engineers have been credited with helping to transform the development team and set up the program for ongoing success.
