It should not come as news to anyone that there is a huge imbalance between men and women in Technology. Studies show that there are three times as many men in computer science and overall STEM-related professions as women. For example, the entelo database contains 450 million candidate profiles, however women only account for 19% of overall Tech roles!
And wait, it gets even worse in the leadership positions where women only account for 10% of the overall technology roles. The disparity is the same, whether you are on the coasts or Middle America.
But really, why should we care and why does it matter? Aside from arguments for fairness and doing the right thing, we all need to care because the problem of having a disparity in technology is not simply a problem of diversity, it is a huge business problem. Read More
